A Well Known Turriff Building Brought Back Into Use

Many people locally will remember this building as the former MADDI’S shop in Turriff.

Property Partners Construction recently completed the conversion and refurbishment of the front section of the building into new offices for M Squared Accountants, who have relocated from their previous Main Street office that we originally completed just over two years ago.

The project transformed a former retail unit into a bright, modern and practical office environment, creating additional space for the growing business while making use of a well known town centre property.

Design, Layout & Specification

The project involved more than simply refurbishing the existing space.

Working closely with the client, we developed the proposed office layout and specification to ensure the new premises worked for both staff and clients. Existing floor plans and proposed layouts were prepared to help finalise the scope of works and allow the project to progress quickly.

This early planning stage helped ensure the finished office environment delivered the right balance of workspace, meeting facilities, storage and client-facing areas.

Scope of Works

The refurbishment involved stripping the former retail unit back and completely reworking the internal layout.

Works included:

• Full strip out of the existing shop fit out
• Insulation upgrades to improve comfort and energy efficiency
• New office partitions and internal layouts
• Heating system alterations and upgrades
• New lighting installation throughout
• Power and CAT6 data infrastructure
• Flooring and decoration
• Internal glazing and office screens
• External signage installation

Working With Existing Buildings

As with many older buildings, a number of previously hidden defects and alterations were uncovered once works started.

These were addressed as part of the refurbishment works, ensuring the completed office space was suitable for long-term use and providing the client with confidence in the finished result.

The Transformation

What was previously a vacant retail unit has been transformed into a modern office environment that is bright, functional and welcoming for both staff and visitors.

The completed offices now provide M Squared Accountants with a professional town centre base that supports their future growth while bringing a well known Turriff building back into active use.
